What are Applicability Questions?

Applicability Questions cover domains of law including Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and many more. They consist of straightforward yes/no questions about your site's location and operations.

Your answers are used to build your site-specific legal register — ensuring it only includes legislation that is relevant to your site. They also determine which legal updates you receive going forward, so you're only notified about changes that actually apply to you.

Why is it important to keep them up-to-date?

If your applicability responses become outdated — for example, if your site starts a new activity or operates in a new area — your legal register may be missing requirements that now apply to you, or including ones that no longer do.

We recommend reviewing your applicability responses whenever there is a significant change to your site's operations or at least once a year as part of your compliance review.

Where do I find the applicability questions?

The Applicability module is accessible through the menu bar on the left side of the Libryo Sites application. For quick guidance on navigating through the Applicability module effortlessly, you can access a helpful article by clicking here.

Why are some questions already answered?

During onboarding, our Regulatory team conducts a "pre-applicability" review, where our experts pre-answer logic-based questions based on your site's location and known operations. This reduces the number of questions you need to answer manually.
