Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Users can enable 2FA for added security, while admins can enforce 2FA for all organization users

What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a second verification step in addition to your password. This helps protect your account from unauthorized access.

How Can 2FA Be Enabled?

There are two ways to enable 2FA in Libryo:

1. Enabling 2FA for Your Own Account

If you want to add 2FA to your personal account, follow these steps:

  1. On the top right corner of your screen, click on your initials, then select Profile & Settings from the dropdown menu.

  2. Navigate to the Security section.

  3. Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and follow the on-screen instructions to set it up with an authentication app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator).
  4. Once set up, you will be required to enter a verification code each time you log in.

2. Organization-Wide 2FA Enforcement (Admin Only)

Admins have the option to enforce 2FA for all users in their organization. When this setting is enabled, all users within the organization will be required to set up and use 2FA to access their accounts.

To enforce 2FA for all users, an Admin should:

  1. Go to the Org Settings panel.
  2. Locate the Security Settings section.
  3. Enable Mandatory 2FA for all users.
  4. All organization users will then be prompted to set up 2FA the next time they log in.

Troubleshooting & Support

  • If you have trouble setting up 2FA, ensure that your authentication app is correctly linked.
  • If you lose access to your authentication method, contact Libryo Support via chat or email at libryo@erm.com for account recovery assistance.

By enabling Two-Factor Authentication, you enhance the security of your account and ensure that your organization’s data remains protected.
