Common questions relating to the Compliance by Requirements feature, which enables users to evaluate their compliance directly against each legal requirement in your Libryo Stream(s).
1. Why can’t I see a Compliance tab under the Requirements module? To find the Compliance tab, go to the module named Requirements > Open a section of law > On the right-hand side, you should see tabs called, Notes, Read Withs and Compliance. Please note: This feature is only available to customers who have the Libryo Actions module. You can check if you have access to Actions on the left-hand side menu. If the Compliance tab is still missing, even though you have the Actions module available, please contact our support team: libryo@erm.com
2. Why doesn’t the compliance status change in my Actions module, when changing it in the Requirements module?
The compliance status in an Action Area is independent of the compliance status of its underlying requirements. This separation is intentional and designed to give you more flexibility in how you assess and report compliance.
Here’s why:
- Your compliance judgment may differ.
Even if all underlying requirements are marked compliant, you might not feel fully compliant with the broader Action Area. Conversely, if only some requirements are compliant, but they cover your key obligations, you might still consider the Action Area compliant overall.
- No direct one-to-one link.
Action Areas are broader categories, and compliance with them cannot always be calculated directly from their individual requirements.
- Flexibility in reporting.
Some customers prefer not to track compliance by requirement. Instead, they choose to evaluate and report only at the Action Area level, for example, marking an entire Action Area as “Not Compliant” without updating each underlying requirement.
This setup allows you to tailor your compliance assessment to your own internal processes and reporting needs.
3. How do I upgrade to get access to Libryo Actions?
Please reach out to your Libryo Customer Success Manager to discuss upgrade options. Alternatively, email our support team who will be happy to assist: libryo@erm.com
4. Can I mark a requirement as compliant without completing a task?
Yes. Compliance status is managed independently from tasks. This gives users the flexibility to manually assess and update compliance based on their own review processes, not just task completion. This is helpful when tasks are administrative or partial steps toward full compliance.
5. Why does the Compliant column still show as not compliant when one or more requirements are marked Not Applicable, even though all the other requirements are answered Yes?
This is expected behavior. At the moment, Not Applicable is not counted as answered, so the status will not show as compliant. In a future release, the Not Applicable option will be removed, and these cases will then display as compliant.
