Check your compliance directly against regulations in the Requirements and Actions modules
Last Updated: 15 Aug 2025Please Note: Only available for customers with the Actions module
The Compliance by Requirements feature allows you to evaluate your compliance directly against each legal requirement in your Libryo Streams. The compliance status in an Action Area is independent of the compliance status of its underlying requirements. This separation is intentional and designed to give you more flexibility in how you assess and report compliance.
For every requirement, you can assign a compliance status and, when updating it, include a justification and upload any relevant supporting files.
All changes are tracked in the Change History, which records who made the update, when it occurred, and the reason behind it. You can also apply bulk updates to multiple requirements at once, saving time and ensuring consistency. A grouped compliance view with color indicators gives you a clear overview of your overall status, providing better traceability and enhanced visibility across the platform.
This feature is optional. If you prefer not to assess compliance at the requirement level, you don’t have to. Not using it won’t affect your overall compliance status; it simply gives you an additional way to assess compliance if you choose.

How to Check Compliance in the Requirements Module
With the Compliance by Requirements feature (available to users with the Libryo Actions module), you can now assess your compliance directly at the individual requirement level. This gives you clear visibility into your status for each regulation and helps track justifications, supporting documents, and historical changes.
1. Open the Requirements module and locate the specific legal requirement you want to assess.
2. On the right-hand side of the screen, select the Compliance tab for that requirement.
3. You will see the date when the requirement was last updated. Choose the appropriate compliance status.
- Yes – Fully compliant
- No – Not compliant
- Not Applicable – The requirement does not apply to your operations
- No Answer - The system default for when no status update has been initiated
- Needs Review – Awaiting verification
- Verified – Yes – Verified as compliant by the responsible team (Only available for Admins)
- Verified – Partial – Partially compliant or under validation (Only available for Admins)
- Verified – No – Verified as non-compliant (Only available for Admins)
Note: The default response is “No Answer” until an evaluation is completed.
How to Complete the Response Justification
Once you select a compliance status, a Response Justification window will appear. Complete the following steps:
- Enter the next due date, if applicable.
- Provide a brief explanation of your compliance assessment.
-
Upload any existing files that support your assessment.
-
If desired, select the Drive folder where you’d like the files to be uploaded.
Important: Changing the Compliance Status of a Requirement does not change the overall Compliance Status of the Action Area.
How to Track Compliance with Change History
After a compliance status is provided or updated, you can view the Change History section, which includes:
- The date the change was made
-
The updated compliance status and the name of the user who made the change
-
The justification provided for the update, along with any supporting files, available under the See Justification option
