The Assess module is upgrading to Actions, simplifying compliance with Action Areas. Your current responses will migrate automatically and the transition is free and organization-wide.

1. How will my Assess responses reflect on the Actions module?
Each Assessment Item is mapped to a corresponding Action Area. If there is a one-to-one mapping, responses will be transferred as follows:
- Yes → Yes
- No → No
- Not Applicable → Not Applicable
- Not Answered → No Answer
Since the Actions module has fewer Action Areas than Assessment Items, multiple Assessment Items may map to a single Action Area. In cases where responses conflict, they will be transferred as follows:
- Some Yes and some No → Partial
- Some Yes and some Not Answered → Partial
- Some No and some Not Answered → No
- Some Yes and some Not Applicable → Yes
- Some No and some Not Applicable → No
- Some Not Applicable and some Not Answered → No Answer
2. How can I view which Assessment Items are linked to which Action Areas?
Within the Action Area detailed view, you will find an Assessment Items (archived) tab. If an Assessment Item has been mapped and migrated, it will appear here for reference.
3. When will the migration of my Assessment Item responses happen?
The option to upgrade to the new Actions module is now available. Please discuss the migration timeline with your Customer Success Manager.
⚠️ Important: The Assess module will no longer be supported by ERM Libryo, which could lead to inaccurate data. We strongly recommend upgrading as soon as possible.
4. Can I migrate one site at a time?
No, the migration must occur simultaneously for all sites within an Organization. We recommend ensuring all sites are prepared and informed before proceeding with the upgrade.
5. Can I migrate my Assess tasks?
Yes! If you’d like to migrate your Assess tasks to the Actions module, your Customer Success Manager can handle the migration for your organization.
All tasks will be linked to the corresponding Action Area as Generic Tasks, and all other task details will remain unchanged.
6. Why is Assess being upgraded to Actions?
Customer feedback indicated that the Assess module had an overwhelming number of Assessment Items, making compliance management complex. To streamline this, our team developed Action Areas, which categorize requirements into universally recognized groupings.
Since Action Areas provide a higher-level structure than Assessment Items, we also introduced Suggested Tasks, which generate a focused list of actionable steps to simplify compliance assessment. These improvements make the Actions module a more intuitive and efficient alternative to Assess.
7. Are there any fees associated with upgrading?
No, the upgrade to the Actions module is provided at no additional cost to all existing Assess customers.
8. What does the process of upgrading my Assess module look like?
Step 1: Migration Execution
Your Customer Success Manager will initiate the migration once you confirm readiness. Your Assessment Item responses will be copied into the new Actions module, establishing a compliance status.
Step 2: Response Mapping
During migration, each Assessment Item is mapped to an Action Area with responses transferred as follows:
•Not Assessed → No Answer
•Not Applicable → Not Applicable
•Yes → Yes
•No → No
If multiple Assessment Items map to a single Action Area, responses will be combined as follows:
•Some Yes and some No → Partial
•Some Yes and some Not Answered → Partial
•Some No and some Not Answered → No
•Some Yes and some Not Applicable → Yes
•Some No and some Not Applicable → No
•Some Not Applicable and some Not Answered → No Answer
Step 3: Review & Adjust
After migration, you should review your Action Area responses and update them as needed. Previous Assess responses will be accessible in the Assessment Items (archived) tab.
Step 4: Complete Unanswered Items
Any remaining Action Areas without responses should be completed using the Actions module guidelines.
Enjoy using your upgraded Actions module!
9. Can I have access to both Assess and Actions at the same time?
After we have run the migration of Assess response data to the Actions module, we will disable the Assess module for all Streams. You can, however, access your Assess history against each corresponding Action Area. You will not be able to edit any of your previous Assess responses.
